I find my inspiration for photography in discovering hidden elements of landscapes, often missed or simply overlooked in backwaters of the world.

Many of my images have been taken around two rivers in Perthshire, Scotland – the Garry and the Tilt. Water has eroded the rocks over millennia and when water levels drop, amazing shapes and curves emerge. Close up or macro landscape images help to accentuate this.

In contrast my images from Arizona, USA, reflect the forces of wind, high temperatures and the occasional devastating flash flood.

Recently I have been experimenting with HDR images which add an extra dimension to my photographs.
